What a productive day! We had great conversations with all of our department leaders and discussed our goals for the school year.
Looking forward to seeing all of our teachers tomorrow and students next week!

Bus Drivers Needed!
The York School Department needs bus drivers for the upcoming 24-25 School Year. Our contracted bus transportation company, Ledgemere, continues to seek out individuals who are looking to make an impact with students by providing essential transportation to and from home and school. This is an excellent opportunity to earn supplemental income while contributing to our community and to York Schools! Applicants will be paid for their training time and any additional costs for qualifications are reimbursed by the York School Department for York residents. Please consider this opportunity to make a difference!

This week’s Wildcat Wednesday features our longterm substitute Health/PE teacher, Brianne Griffin. Ms. Griffin will be covering Mrs. Clark’s classes while she is out with baby boy.
A fun fact about Ms. Griffin is that she loves pizza. If she could only eat one thing for the rest of her life it would be pizza (with red pepper flakes)! She lives right here in York with her husband, stepkiddo, and two adorable dogs (swipe to see pics of the 🐶 🐶). Also… she broke her big toe at Harbor Beach this summer (she’s on the mend!) and she loves to travel, experience new cultures, try different cuisines, and see new things. Most recently she traveled to Ireland 🇮🇪, The Azores 🇵🇹, Switzerland 🇨🇭, and England 🏴!
Bonus fun fact… she’s a Swiftie 🫶🏻 (ask her how many times she’s seen her perform).
She’s looking forward to joining Ms. Dennison and Mr. Regan in the department. Be sure to say hi and welcome her to YHS.

It is finally time for our first Wildcat Wednesday of the 24-25 school year! This week I’d like to introduce Stephanie DeMartini as our new main office administrative assistant.
Ms. DeMartini is a foodie who loves hearing about and trying new restaurants, diners, and food trucks. She has one amazing son and a 6lb chihuahua named Cashew (swipe to see the 🐶). She enjoys crocheting, reading, baking, skiing, and hiking. Her favorite movies are Lord of the Rings, Star Wars (prequel trilogy), and her favorite series is Game of Thrones 🐉.
She is looking forward to seeing you all in a few weeks and whenever you’re going by the main office, be sure to welcome her and say hi.
