On Tuesday, February 7, the York High School administration, student services counselors, and department leaders welcomed incoming ninth-grade students and their families. The evening was full of information regarding the course selection process, reviewing the program of studies, and overall high school success strategies. Students were given a tour of the building by current YHS students while parents had the chance to ask the school counselors questions. Parents also had the opportunity to attend breakout sessions with teachers to discuss the bell schedule, PowerSchool, Google Classroom, parent expectations at the high school level, and anything else they were curious about.
If you missed the event please feel free to review the PowerPoint presentation and reach out to any school counselor at YHS with questions. We are looking forward to officially welcoming the students in the fall but we do hope they (and their families) enjoy the rest of 8th grade.
