We want to thank our 2023 YHS Peer Listeners for engaging in an outstanding community service opportunity!
As Peer Listeners, students continue to devote their time each week to mentoring students at York Middle School and Coastal Ridge Elementary School. They are a mentor, a confidant, a friend, a big brother, or sister: Most of all, they are a positive influence to a student who can benefit from a positive and supportive role model. Students meet one-on-one, some meet with small groups of students, and others help in various classrooms supporting our students and staff. We are encouraged by the tremendous growth of this volunteer opportunity this year. YHS Juniors and Seniors may apply to become a Peer Listener every fall.
