York High School is pleased to introduce our new Boys Varsity Tennis Coach.
Matan Lushkov joins our community with a unique and valuable background in sport and performance psychology. As a York resident, he brings not only a passion for supporting student-athletes, but also a deep commitment to fostering both athletic and personal growth.
Coach Lushkov has worked with athletes across a wide range of levels, from youth players to elite and professional tennis athletes. Through this experience, he has developed a strong understanding of the mental, emotional, and developmental needs that contribute to success both on and off the court. His expertise in performance psychology and athlete development offers a powerful and holistic approach to coaching.
Professionally, Coach Lushkov has served as a performance psychologist at Club Med Academies, where he led workshops focused on mental skills, stress management, and overall well-being for high-performing athletes. He has also worked with student-athletes through Emerson College and brings additional experience in education and coaching from time spent in a public school setting.
We are excited to welcome Coach Lushkov to our school community and look forward to the positive impact he will have on our student-athletes and tennis program.
