On Thursday, June 1, Mr. Rosenberg and Ms. Dold's English 10 classes had a book release party. This was the culmination of The Telling Room program done in those classes in February. The program produced a book entitled This One’s for You, and each student in the English 10 classes has a poem in it and receives a copy of the book.
This year our students had five poems chosen for publication in the statewide writing anthology released later this month. Poems are chosen from contest submissions, writing residencies, and other Telling Room programs. Five is a lot for one school. Kit Anthony (photo below) was one of the students whose poem was chosen for the annual anthology.

Students were able to read their submissions to the audience during the book release party.
We are so proud of the work these students did throughout the program and with the poetry they created. A copy of the book will be in the YHS library if you would like to read their poems.
