On May 24, York High School graduates, Chris Powers ('08) and Dan Powers ('08), joined Mr. Rosenberg's Podcasting class via Google Meet (they live in LA) to talk about their hockey podcast “Empty Netters.” It has taken off recently and they have been on the NHL Megacast and were invited to the Stanley Cup Finals by the NHL. They also were covered by Rolling Stone Magazine online in April. They are former YHS hockey players and have been working as screenwriters for TV and film. They talked about the success and challenges of their podcast as well as encouraging students to work hard and follow their dreams wherever they take them.
